Family-run hotel with free parking near Headingley Stadium

Historic Family-Run Hotel

Haley's Hotel occupies a grand Victorian building on a quiet tree-lined avenue 2 miles from Leeds city centre. The hotel is family-run and offers free on-site parking, a rarity among central Leeds accommodations. Its historical décor and architecture set it apart from standard chain hotels.

Individually Decorated Rooms

Each of the 26 bedrooms is individually decorated, with some featuring four-poster beds and views of the hotel gardens. Spacious family rooms can accommodate up to four guests, making them suitable for families visiting the area. All rooms include a private bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, and a hairdryer.

Breakfast and Bar

A diverse buffet breakfast is served daily, with hot and cold options including vegan and vegetarian choices. In the evening, guests can enjoy a drink in the bar beside an open fire. While the hotel does not serve evening meals, the Headingley high street with its many restaurants is a short walk away.

Quiet Location near Headingley

The hotel sits in a peaceful leafy area, yet is only a 12-minute walk from Headingley Cricket Ground and close to Headingley Stadium. Burley Park Rail Station is a 5-minute drive, and Leeds city centre is 2 miles away. On-site free parking is available for all guests, a convenience not found at many city hotels.

Family-Friendly Facilities

The hotel offers spacious family rooms and facilities for disabled guests, including wheelchair access and grab rails in bathrooms. A 24-hour front desk, daily housekeeping, and a shared lounge/TV area are available. Meeting and banquet facilities are on-site for business or private events.

helpful staff size room convenient location

the staff proved very helpful. i received a free upgrade to a king size room. the location is convenient to the high street, including shops and cafes. the accommodation was comfortable, quiet, and elegant.

I noticed the bathroom showed some signs of mould. the soaps didn't lather properly. the tv offered limited channels. This was a slight inconvenience.

Rooms

the double room featured refurbished decor and new furniture. this gave the room a fresh appearance. i found it to be an improvement over typical, less personalised accommodations. this enhances the overall ambiance.

leafy area helpful staff good selection noisy cleaners slow wifi hot water

the hotel is in a leafy area. headingley is just minutes away. i found the staff cute and helpful. breakfast offered a good selection of cereals, juices, and yogurts.

the cleaners started shouting to each other early. i lost sleep because of the noise. i think this is unacceptable. the water didn't run hot quickly, and the wifi struggled to reach the top floor.
